Pension Alpenhaus

The original Lindbichler family hotel continues to be owned by the Lindbichler family. In the winter of 2016/2017, we began renting and initially operated only during the winter season. Starting from the winter of 2019/2020, we are also open during the summer season and have been operating as Lindbichler Guesthouse since then.

Welcome to Our Guesthouse in Vorderstoder

Our guesthouse is situated in a peaceful location, just 2 km from the centre of Vorderstoder, at the foot of Mount Tamberg. Its unique setting offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Totes Gebirge mountain range, the Hinterstoder ski resort, and the distant Sensengebirge.

Surrounding the guesthouse is a spacious garden – the perfect place to relax and unwind. Guests can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool (open from June to August), a children's playground, and plenty of space to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.

Our restaurant serves delicious homemade and regional dishes. Whether you would like to enjoy a refreshing beer, a soft drink, an Aperol Spritz, or a tasty snack, you are always welcome to relax and savour the moment.

One of the highlights of your stay is the neighbouring pasture with our friendly alpacas, which delight both children and adults alike. We look forward to welcoming you for a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature, comfort, and unforgettable mountain views.

Thanks to its location, our house is the ideal starting point for numerous mountain and bike tours with significant elevation differences and is about halfway between Hinterstoder and Windischgarsten.

The romantic “Schiederweiher” in Hinterstoder, awarded the most beautiful place in all of Austria in 2018, is approximately 8 km from the guesthouse.

Our Guesthouse

Our guesthouse offers comfortable accommodation for couples, families, and groups of friends. We currently offer four spacious apartments for 4–6 guests, with a fifth apartment becoming available from the 2026/2027 winter season.

In addition, we offer double, triple, and quadruple rooms, as well as family rooms for up to five guests. Most of our rooms and apartments have been completely renovated to provide the highest level of comfort and a welcoming atmosphere throughout your stay.

The guesthouse also features a cosy dining room, a restaurant, and a bar where you can enjoy breakfast, dinner, or relax with your favourite drink after a day spent in the mountains.

Guesthouse Facilities

Our spacious dining room is where breakfast and dinner are served daily. The adjoining restaurant and bar offer a welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy a freshly poured draught beer, a traditional raspberry soft drink, or a wide selection of other beverages.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the guesthouse's common areas.

For our youngest guests, we have a children's playroom where they can have fun regardless of the weather.

During the summer months, guests are welcome to relax in our spacious garden, enjoy the shade beneath our magnificent walnut tree, take a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool, or play a game on the tennis court.

Winter sports enthusiasts will appreciate our excellent location. The Hinterstoder Ski Resort is approximately 7 km away, while the Wurzeralm Ski Resort is about 20 km from the guesthouse. A complimentary ski bus to Hinterstoder is also available upon request.

Rooms & Apartments

Our spacious and comfortably furnished rooms and apartments provide the perfect base for both summer and winter holidays. Whether you are travelling as a couple, with your family, or with a group of friends, you will find accommodation to suit your needs.

All rooms and apartments feature a private bathroom with shower and toilet, a hairdryer, and satellite TV. Most rooms also include a private balcony overlooking the surrounding countryside and an in-room safe.

Our apartments additionally feature a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic hob, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, and toaster, providing everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Double, Triple & Quadruple Rooms

Our comfortable rooms with one bedroom are ideal for couples, small families, and groups of friends. Accommodation includes a buffet breakfast, with the option to add dinner to your stay.

Family Rooms (4–5 Guests)

Our family rooms feature two separate bedrooms: a master bedroom with a double bed and a children's room with a bunk bed and a single bed. Breakfast is included, and dinner can be added if desired.

Apartments (2–6 Guests)

Our spacious apartments offer extra comfort and privacy for families and larger groups. Each apartment features two separate bedrooms—a master bedroom with a double bed and a children's room with a bunk bed and a single bed—as well as a fully equipped kitchenette.

Apartments are offered on a self-catering basis. Guests may add breakfast, dinner, or both to their stay.

Dining

Guests staying in our rooms enjoy a generous buffet breakfast included in their stay. Every morning, you can choose from a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, including eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, butter, spreads, yoghurt, milk, cereals, freshly baked bread and pastries, sweet pastries, coffee, tea, fruit juices, and other beverages.

Dinner can be added to your booking. We serve a three-course menu consisting of soup, a choice of two main courses, and dessert, accompanied by a fresh salad buffet. Guests are also welcome to choose from our restaurant's à la carte menu.

Apartments are offered on a self-catering basis, giving guests maximum flexibility during their stay. Breakfast, dinner, or both can be added at any time.
